The Bathroom Project

Right before the holidays we started the process of putting in a bathroom. We are first time home owners and construction virgins. We have defiantly learned a lot in this process. So far no major catastrophes, but we are a little behind because of ordering fiascos with Lowe's. Hopefully we are back on track. But that is enough of the boring stuff. Lets talk about what really matters! Tile, faucets, vanities, and other pretty things! We are trying to put in a modern bathroom but not make it look like it was just plooped on the back of the house. I would describe our style as Vintage recycled chicish.....We are trying to re-incorporate older elements of the house back into the house with the new.

Welcome!

Welcome to the start of my new personal motivator! In this new year I want to keep moving forward. This last year has been a crazy one and I want to push myself to keep growing and trying new things. I figured making a blog would be a good way of keeping myself accountable in the progress. Here is a little recap of last year.....

1. Bought a house. It's a cute old Victorian fixer upper in the small town I grew up in.
2. Got married. Wedding of my dreams! (The guy isn't bad either...)
3. Adopted another mini dachshund. This one was a rescue so we are still working on some ground rules.
4. Got back into theater at the local civic costuming a youth show and acting in a couple musicals. Also drug my husband into the theater circle. I think he likes it.

Goals for the next year.......
1. Continue to work on our house.
2. Eat healthier while still keeping it interesting and as local as possible.
3. Work on training our mini herd of mini weenies.
4. Take on the next musical Pirates of Penzance.
5. Attempt to work out regularly without getting cranky.
6. Try to make other couple friends. Sounds a little creepy....I know, but its surprisingly hard in our small town where we are in the minority. Most couples our age have babies. There is nothing wrong with that, but we are content for now with our furry babies!

I think that is it for now, but this is a work in progress so this list will evolve as the year does.
